1. Antibacterial Effectiveness against
- Escherichia coli ~ (ATCC 25922)
2. Heavy Metals Contaminants
- Antimony content - Arsenic content - Cadmium content - Chromium content - Lead content - Mercury content - Tin content
3. Silver content
METHOD(S’) USED:
1. Antibacterial Effectiveness against Escherichia coli -Prepare a cell suspension of E. coli with a known concentration -Add 5 ml of the cell suspension into each of four sterilized test tubes -Add 5 ml sample with known concentration into three of the four tubes (3 trials) -Add 5 ml sterile water into the remaining tube as control -Let stand for 1 minute -Add 1 ml of neutralizing agent into each of four tubes -Enumerate the microbial count of the mixtures using pour plate method -Incubate the plates at 35°C for 48 hours -Count the number of bacterial colonies per plate -Repeat the whole test using 6 minutes reaction time
